Little Fern Leaf Necklace Sterling Silver
The Little Fern Leaf Necklace makes the perfect gift for any nature lover. Handmade in Sterling Silver, the necklace is designed to be worn short with the fern resting along the collar.
There is a certain magic surrounding our relationship with the fern. As one of the oldest plants on Earth, the fern is symbolic of resilience and strength, representing our deep connection with nature. The way its fronds unfurl are symbolic of growth and new beginnings, while their ability to grow in the most unlikely of places represents an inner strength and offers protection.
This magical little fern has been handcrafted in Cornwall, where we are surrounded with an array of ferns in the wild. Using traditional silversmith techniques, the design is first drawn out before being carefully pierced from Sterling Silver sheet, with every detail of the fern engraved by hand.
The curved stem has been shaped and soldered into position, then curled to the back to form a ring for which the chain is attached. Another ring is soldered into position at the other end, behind the fern, so that it is invisible from the front.
Finished to a high shine front and back, with an oxidised silver finish lending the piece a darker appearance and accentuating the engraved detail.

Designed to sit close to the collar, this necklace can be adjusted to any size between 18-16"using the 2" extension chain.
Fastened by a bolt ring clasp with the chain end tipped with a 4mm faceted Labradorite bead.On the reverse you can see the hallmark of the London Assay Office.
