A real dragonfly wing leaves its mark in this striking Sterling Silver charm pendant set with Amazonite with Labradorite accents. Crafted by hand and taking its print directly from nature, this pendant is a truly unique, one-of-a-kind item.
This pendant features a pastel coloured, rose cut, green amazonite. The round stone sits at the focal point of a silver setting complimented by four flat silver discs in a variety of sizes and textures, that nestle below. The silver discs give way to the three charms that hang below.
The silver dragonfly wing charm sits at the centre of the pendant. This wing has been handcrafted using a real dragonfly wing to texture the metal surface.
Spiritually the different stages of the dragonflies life cycle are believed to symbolise change, and helping us adapt with change. For that reason, they are widely associated to the spirits of lost loved ones.I like to think of my jewellery as another stage in the life cycle of the dragonfly; one in which they are forever immortalised in Sterling Silver.
Amazonite is a soothing stone, helping us overcome emotion trauma and alleviating our worries. It dispels negative energy, and is even believed to encourage universal love.
I’ve selected a 4mm faceted Labradorite bead to sit with the dragonfly wing. Labradorite is renowned for sharpening out physic abilities. It’s also believed to encourage our ability to deal with change. Its spiritual qualities and its beautiful blue-green appearance make for a great partnership with the dragonfly.
The tiny spiral charm that completes the charm pendant is a shell tip, cast directly from the tip of a spiral seashell. Nature is a huge inspiration for me & I love to incorporate my foraged finds in my jewellery.
Both the wing and the shell tip have been gently oxidised to emphasise the intricate, natural detail. The wing has been given a matt finish to the front, in contrast to the rest of the pendant which is finished to a high shine.
*Please know that all the insect wings I used are sourced ethically. I only ever use Wing from insects have died naturally, foraged by myself or donated kindly by friends.*
Sterling Silver Dragonfly Wing Pendant with Amazonite
Presented on a 20" chain which can be adjust to 18", fastened with a handmade hook clasp. The end of the chain is tipped with a 4mm faceted Labradorite bead.
On the pendants reverse, you can see the hallmark of the London Assay Office. This mark ensures you of the metal fineness, and holds unique details on where, when and by who the piece was made. Including my own makers mark.
